Getting Started

Welcome to the Service Blueprint Generator or Bluegen for short. This guide will help you get started with creating your first service blueprint.

Prerequisites

  • A Google account
  • A Google Sheet with your service blueprint data
OR
  • An Excel .xlsx file with the right structure

Step 1: Connect Your Google Account or Select an Excel File

Click the "Connect Google Account" button or the "Choose Excel File" button on the home page. For Google Sheets, you'll be asked to authorise access to your Google Sheets. Blugen stores no data about you, everything is stored in your browser. Disconnect for good at any time.

Step 2: Go to the Generator

After connnecting your account, click the "Open Blueprint Generator" button to be taken to the Generator page.

Step 3: Select a Sheet

You'll see a dropdown of your available Google Sheets documents. Select the one you want to load. Then, select the specific Sheet from the list containing your service blueprint data.

Step 4: Generate Your Blueprint

After selecting a Sheet, you're your service blueprint will be displayed.

Step 5: Download Your Styled Blueprint

Once your blueprint is generated, you can download it in various formats (SVG, PNG, or PDF) by clicking the "Download" button in the menu bar and selecting your preferred format.

Step 6: Send to Miro

Connect your Miro account and send your blueprint to a Miro board, with specific styles defined in Themes.
